This week marks the end of an era at Stratos as Director of Electrical Engineering Brian Read retires. Described by many as an incredible problem solver and a creative and valuable collaborator, it’s clear he has left his mark on Stratos’ body of work. Luckily, many here have had the chance to work beside him, solve problems with his help and learn from him.
When I spoke to him about his almost 20 years as part of the Stratos team, he was characteristically modest and emphasized that brainstorming with a team of great minds is what he will really miss.

The certification is the result of an extensive assessment performed by BSI Group and it confirms that Stratos’ Quality Management System has been effectively implemented to the requirements of ISO 13485.
Stratos Group today announced the addition of Chris Rivera to its Board as a Life Science Adviser. Chris brings extensive experience in the life sciences to Stratos, including seven years as the President, and CEO of the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association, where he fostered remarkable growth of the sector in Washington State. Prior to the WBBA, he spent more than 25 years at biotechnology companies, including Hyperion Therapeutics, where he was Founder and CEO, and Genzyme and Tercica, where he was Senior Vice President.
