Stratos Will Sponsor Two Medical and Biotech-focused Conferences in March

Seattle, Wash. – February 24, 2011 – Stratos Product Development, LLC today announced its sponsorship of two upcoming events: the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association’s (WBBA) 11th annual Life Science Innovation Northwest, March 2-3, 2011 in Seattle, Washington, and the 16th annual Frost & Sullivan Medical Devices Executive Mind Xchange, March 13-15, 2011 in San Francisco, California.

“As the entire technology industry enters the next generation of innovation, new challenges will arise, demanding the development of creative product and business solutions. This is especially true in the medical device segment, where there is tremendous uncertainty with evolving FDA regulations, downward pressure on healthcare costs, increased need for better clinical outcomes and major shifts in reimbursement policies. Stratos is particularly proud of its accomplishments in the life sciences and medical device segments and happy to sponsor these events where thought leaders and practitioners can collaborate to better meet these industry challenges now and seed future sustainable growth,” Sean MacLeod, President, Stratos Product Development said.

Stratos will participate as a sponsor at the WBBA’s Life Science Innovation Northwest event, March 2-3, at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. The conference will bring together more than 700 attendees from public and private companies, research institutions, scientists, entrepreneurs and the global health community.

On March 15, Tom Kadavy, Director, Medical Technology for Stratos and Jessica Urban, Director, Program Management will lead a discussion at the Frost & Sullivan Medical Devices Executive Mind Xchange entitled “From Zero to Success: Creating the Right Product through Strategic Opportunity Evaluation.” In the session, attendees will learn how applying a cross-collaborative approach can provide the framework for sorting and prioritizing innovative thinking, ensuring optimized clinical value and market growth. Kadavy and Urban will also facilitate a roundtable discussion, “Experience from the Trenches: What Makes Product Development Projects Successful.” This open discussion will focus on best practices that drive great team performance and help deliver innovative products to the marketplace.
