Seattle, Wash. – February 10, 2011 – Stratos Product Development today announced its President, Sean MacLeod, was selected as a judge for the Washington Technology Industry Association’s (WTIA) Innovative Manufactured Product of the Year Award to be announced at the annual Industry Achievement Awards on February 24th 2011, a signature event celebrating the Washington state technology industry.

“Washington State is known for its entrepreneurship and as a hot-bed for innovative new products and services. In reviewing the nominated products from some of the Pacific Northwest’s top companies, it is clear why. We can be proud that Washington continues to lead the charge in innovation and maintains its position as a pioneer of the technology industry,” Stratos President, Sean MacLeod, said.

The Innovative Manufactured Product of the Year category was added to the Industry Achievement Awards in 2010 to reflect the WTIA’s broadened scope after its merger with TechAmerica (AeA), of which Sean MacLeod was an active board member. With two decades of experience as a business manager and engineer for innovative products, MacLeod was able to provide specific expertise to the judging process. Finalists for the category include Intermec Technologies Corporation, Precor Incorporated and XKL, LLC.

Stratos will also be a supporting sponsor of the award celebration to take place on February 24, 2011 at the Showbox SODO in Seattle. This event recognizes the accomplishments of the best and brightest individuals, companies, teachers and students in our state. More than 800 attendees are expected.
