Seattle, Wash. – February 18, 2011 – Stratos Product Development today announced that it has appointed three new members to its leadership team: Rebecca Dawson, Director, Marketing Communications; Jeff Lyden, Director, Business Development; and Jessica Urban, Director, Program Management.

With these three new leaders in place, we can assure optimal value creation for our clients,” Stratos President, Sean MacLeod, said.

Rebecca Dawson joins Stratos as Director, Marketing Communications. She was brought on board in a full-time capacity on February 1, after consulting for Stratos for over a year. Rebecca is a tenured Marketing and Public Relations professional with 14 years of experience in the technology industry. She has provided her expertise to a variety of companies nationwide including Cisco Systems, T-Mobile, Microsoft, United Business Media, Shell Oil, Vertafore, the Pacific Northwest Diabetes Research Institute, Active Voice and Envision. In addition to her corporate experience, Rebecca has acted a consultant and advisor to many businesses – large and small – providing insight into achieving successful business growth and a sustainable competitive advantage.

Jeff Lyden was promoted to Director, Business Development after serving as Program Manager at Stratos for three years. He is a proven team leader and manager with diverse leadership and business experience. He brings strong knowledge of processes, product development and implementation, and has extensive engineering experience including consumer goods, aerospace, equipment, tooling and production operations. Prior to joining Stratos, Jeff worked at Cascade Designs managing the Product Development engineering and design staff, creating innovative, award-winning products for the outdoor enthusiast.

Jessica Urban was promoted to the management team as Director, Program Management after serving as a Senior Program Manager at Stratos for six years. In her 14 years in product development, project management and quality engineering, Jessica has developed expertise in class II and III medical device product development, GMP manufacturing, lab instrumentation development, regulatory and compliance engineering and medical quality system requirements. Her strengths include close collaboration with clients to achieve aggressive cost, schedule and performance goals, process validation, customization of the product management process to best meet market needs, and timely transition of a product to manufacturing. Prior to Joining Stratos, Jessica worked for Plexus as a Project Manager and Senior Quality Engineer and the Boeing Company as a Senior Test Engineer.
